Lawsuit: MSU mentor pressured sprinter to move after she reported teammate for intimate attack

GRAND RAPIDS – When Emma Roedel reported a teammate on Michigan State University’s track group had intimately assaulted her, she thought her mentor would protect her.

Alternatively, assistant mentor Yolanda Johnson told Roedel “no body would really like her” if she pursued the intimate attack claim, in accordance with a lawsuit Roedel along with her lawyer filed Wednesday in federal region court.
